How to I start a select team?
To start a team you need players, a place to practice, team insurance and then you enter tournaments.
To find players you can post an ad on our message board and hold try-outs. Once you have players you can begin entering tournaments. Our site lists tournaments in the San Antonio area. Many of these tournaments are sanctioned so you will need to register with the sanctioning organization. Most teams register at the start of the season with the three main sanctioning organizations (Nations Baseball, USSSA and Super Series). Virtually all tournaments require team insurance so you will need to purchase team insurance.
Where can I get Team Insurance?
Team Insurance can be purchased from the sanctioning bodies or from Boerne Select Baseball. All provide basically the same coverage and cover players at practices and tournaments. The insurance from Boerne Select Baseball is a little less expensive than the others.
